There is no legal gambling at the Lake unless in Nevada.
That is why all the casinos were located near the state-line on the south shore & north shore but only on the Nevada side. Gaming became legal there in 1932, I believe.
But only on the Nevada side.
Which makes the Cal-Neva Lodge so unique, with the hotel in California while the casinosits in Nevada, since it straddles the stateline. Even their swimming pool was split with half in both States.
