If you had put away the silver coins from your pocket change in the 1960's and accumulated a bag of $1,000 face amount, your bag would today be worth about $28,000! How many of our traditional "investments" have done that well? Silver pays no interest, but holds its purchasing value as a currency should. Unfortunately, today your bank deposits in US dollars pay esentially no interest and depreciate every day as the Fed prints more money with nothing to back it.
