OK, so you are limited to 2GB minus the size of the operating system (although Windows CE is very small). At a decent resolution I have under 5000 scans that take up only 215MB. So that shouldn't be too much of an issue. What is a little pain is taking out the computer, starting it back up, finding a place on the dealer's table, finding the chip, etc.

I don't have a good answer, only bring up the issues that I have faced. it seems like a good idea on the surface, and I have all the devices you can have (laptop, netbook, android tablet, ipad2) but I am not yet convinced that it can beat paper for this.
