I love collecting the old Nevada Postcards....but sometimes the real treasure is on the back of the postcard.
Here is a good example. The front is of the Dunes Swimming Pool from 1960 (or 1959 since the postcard is postmarked June 1960). I don't have this postcard so it's a keeper for my collection.
But where it gets good is the back of the postcard. I don't know who "Bob" is but I'm guessing he has some role in a Township or City in Massachusetts (since the postcard is addressed to the Town Hall Association) I'm guessing he had just heard a speech from the US Senator from Massachusetts - Jack (John F) Kennedy.
If anyone can tell me what the city is, that would be a great help. Also I can't find any information on any speeches from Jack Kennedy may in Las Vegas in June of 1960. I'm guess the postcard is only worth a $1.00 - $2.00 but to think of the history of the postcard make it worth a whole lot more.
