Both of you were right about the Casino at the Hilton that it was from Egypt. It took a while to zero in because the locals and the media have different name - "Hilton at the Nile" - it was the first US hotel. The hotel and the casino were inauguarated by President Nasser, it was sold to Ritz Carlton group totally renovated, expanded and rebranded in 2010.

It is the building in the center of the photo -facing us, the Nile River is at the back of the building.

The London Club Casino, Cairo Egypt is nearby but you cannot see it in his photo.
