The Gold Coin Bar is one of the oldest bars in state, built in 1897, it is a "victorian landmark". This postcard from the 1950's is pretty much what it looks like today, although the old wood stove is no longer there. Interior photos from 1912 show it as it is in the postcard. Some of the old decorations are still there, including the model ship you see at the top of bar's cornice in the postcard.

Gold Coin Casino features an image of the bar and it's famous barkeep from the 1960's, 70's era Jack Brown. This property has housed the original Gold Coin Casino, then Lady Luck Casino, then Gold Coin Casino #2 and is now home to Easy Street Casino.
