~~~ and those who are giving them do really enjoy doing so, as I know I did when I gave new members chips, tokens, jetons and plaques; books, magazines (club and related), brochures, auction catalogs, pricelists; postcards, posters and laminated gaming related artwork... and even helped provide tuition to ANA seminars held in Colorado by noted club historians (the interest just wasn't there and the gig failed)... and even offered to pay for a few memberships. I guess Eric's question kind of rubbed me the wrong way because I have been hit up a few times with the "what can you do for me since I'm a new member?" question (via phone/e-mail).
