I actually had to laugh at resort fees last year when I was booking rooms for a trip. I was booking 3 rooms at Palace Station and the resort fee was higher than the room rate I was paying. I found the rooms for $15 per night and they wanted $15.99 per night for resort fees. I actually laughed at the woman who was booking my rooms when she told me. I ended up staying at the Rio and not paying resort fees. It cost me $150 less for 3 rooms at the Rio for 4 nights than at Palace Station.

Funny thing is, I read some place that the Harrah's group was the first to charge the resort fees and now they play on the fact that they don't charge them. Again, made me laugh.
