I do understand that they were used in Sacramento .. no debating that.
But to no longer list the 49er Club that did exist in 1940?
I'm too young to have played there, wasn't born until '47.
I've always understood that before these chips were used in California, they were in play at the Lake.
But I have yet to talk with anyone who had actually been to the 49er Club in Crystal Bay, so I have long speculated as to what chips could possibly have been used there if not these.
Oh well ....
