The Tsunami from the Alaska Earthquake was pretty bad down the coast to Northern California. Cannon Beach was beat up pretty good, a bridge was taken out. Lincoln City had some bad damage too - I remember the Over the Tides Ocean Front Restaurant at the Surftides Resort being badly damaged. Then there was loss of lives at Beverly Beach. Better to be safe than sorry. I was watching the streaming coverage today on KPTV and am happy it was a non-event in Oregon. I must be getting old I remember when we used to call them Tidal Waves. My heart goes out Japan.
