...the name of our club is a huge liability for us. We talk about membership expansion through mining other collectibles organizations (matchbook covers, swizzle sticks, etc.) but our name is not only too ponderous but way too specific and therefore exclusionary. If you collected matchbook covers, why would you ever consider joining an organization called the Casino Chip And Gaming Token Collectors Club? I know I wouldn't. Would I join an organization called the Casino Collectibles Club? Much more likely.

Now, I realize that Eric put in endless effort in obtaining our 501(c)(3) status, but I feel we absolutely need a change if we are to expand our organization. I know that over the years our Board of Directors have debated this endlessly, but I personally feel that it's time for the change and worth the effort. It's imperative if we are to grow.
