My campaign statement laid out some of thing I would try to achieve. Here are a few things I would not do.
I see the other candidates have given their views on some of these things. I suppose BB readers may be interested if the other candidates were also to comment on the things they havn't so far.
1. Communication. I believe that just by virtue of our current BoD comprising more active BB users than in the past, communication between the BoD and the membership is better than it has ever been. I would not therefore support the re-introduction of the OLCD position. I see absolutely no need for it. It is to the BoD's great credit that the majority of 'changes' recently announced by Treasurer Doug Smith were in fact as a result of member driven suggestiions.
2. I would not at any time 'hold the club to ransom' if decisions did not go my way, and would support all decisions 100%. The fact that I currently have other Club duties to fulfill has no bearing on this election or my 'modus operandi' if elected.
3. I believe all collectors deserve equal treatment. We have members that do not even collect chips, just memorabilia. Others that collect nothing but illegals or Seymour Coded pieces. Finally, and I bring this to people's attention as it has been mentioned elsewhere in the past, we have people that collect fake & fantasy chips in all their guises. For many, that is all they can afford. They deserve equal treatment to any other collectors. Unfortunately, its not always seen that way.
4. I would not support any change to the name.
