I'm quite surprised to see a post where you're thinking about passing on the club's tournament to play in a totally different poker event on the same night.

Since you live in Vegas, you have opportunity to play in tournaments at Golden Nugget all year long but only once a year you have a chance to play with your friends at the club's tournament.

Obviously you're entitled to your opinion. I would hope others who have a chance to play in the club tournament on Friday would still play in it and support the club. Not only is it a great social event but it also supports the club financially.
