Just got back from Nascar weekend in Las Vegas.
We spent one night downtown and while walking Fremont St. noticed that the entire front of the Plaza (located at the very west end of Fremont St) had barriers stretched across the driveway and sidewalks. All the lights were turned off and the poor ol' gal looked totally deserted.
Talking with the bar manager at Main Street Station, he told us that the Plaza had silently closed it's doors on Thursday March 3rd....so until we all find out if the "renovations" rumor is true or not (we saw NO work...or even employees... going on in or around the building during the entire weekend), there are no restaurants, shows or access at the Plaza.
