Dear Chippers,
I have been working non-stop on the Nevada section of the Chipguide on the Museum of Gaming History website (www.themogh.org) every since Charles granted me access to the site back in October. My normal day goes: work 1st job--work 2nd job--goto gym--eat dinner--Chipguide--sleep for 5 hours --repeat. I cannot even count how many hours I have put in over the last four months. The amount of material to be added is very overwhelming. Currently, I have a backlog of nearly 2,500 submissions to be added to the guide.
I am making this post for a few reasons:
1. I want to thank all of the great chippers that have submited items for upload to the Chipguide. I assure you they will be posted as time permits.
2. Due to the number of chips currently in my back-log, over 85% of the Nevada submissions being made through the submissions link on the Chipguide website are duplicates of chips I already have stored on my computer waiting for upload. I am asking my fellow chippers to hold-off on submitting new Nevada items through the submissions link on the Chipguide website until I clear a large portion of my back-log in order to cut down on duplication. This will save me from doing a lot of extra work. I appreciate your understanding.
3. Contrary to #2, if you have a scan of very scarce or rare Nevada chip, please send me a good quality scan with accurate colors to nv_admin@themogh.org .
Once again, I appreciate everyone's assistance in making the Chipguide a great resource for all chippers. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, please direct them to me at nv_admin@themogh.org .
Happy Chippin',
