I agree this is not a club board, then why do people find it necessary to display their club membership numbers in their posts? I believe that when people make uncivil posts with their club membership number proudly displayed next to the offending post, it does cost the club membership, be it made on this board, the club board, Facebook, etc. If you are going to identify yourself as a club member, what you say afterwards does not only reflect on the person making the post but on the club as well.
