My dad was very lucky playing the lottery. His first "big" win was $25,000, that was followed by a $10,000 scratch off, and he won $2,500 in a losing ticket drawing...though there were a few years between each of the wins. Anyway, after one of those wins he bought me a lottery "subscription" for a year or two...and I never had a single winner (not even a free ticket)!
