For my birthday, soon after Atlantic City opened, my two sons gave me a 2 nigts 3 days stay at Resorts Int. At that time, there were only two casinos---Resorts and Cesars Boardwalk Regency. When I came home, I found two $1 chips in my pocket from Resorts. I examined them and saw that they were different. A short while later, I discovered that a guy named Archie Black was forming a casino chip collecting club. I joined and became member #130. I started going to Atlantic City every 2 months and collected the chips. The sorry part of my story is that even though I am a "collector type", and had gone to Las Vegas in 1956 on my honeymoon, I never took a chip home. Starting in the late 1960's, I used to go to Las Vegas 2-3 times a year on junkets and also never took a chip home. I have been to every CCGTCC conventioh (except 2009 when I broke my leg). I always have a good time at the conventions and have made many friends.
