When I was moving to East TN to be Director of Engineering at Lear Seating the personnel guy gave me some advise. He was from Newport, TN which is famous for gambling. He was proud of their one stoplight (flashing yellow!). When I started the job he told me to remember that people will always call me a Yankee. And that after about 10 years they will drop the - dam.
