My position that un-recorded repair should be frowned upon is a personal position.

I think that many Club members here on the Message Boards know that the does not have a position on this topic, and while some hobbies accept repair, primarilly as "restoration," others do not. While I believe that the honorable course of action would be to document the repair or restoration of a damaged chip, I am NOT suggesting that the create and adopt a policy of prohibition and then become the police of enforcement. Yet at the same time, I would not want to adopt a policy of blind acceptance.
