I actually have more spare time now than Ive had for some years for a number of reasons. You probably don't need to know all of this but it may help you understand why I feel I have the time now and didn't at previous election times.

My daughter (who is 12 tomorrow) started high school in September. She is much more self sufficient, requires less 'family time' and is also able to help out much more both in the business and around the house.

My stepson moved away to his own place in London last year.

Since moving the club/bb server last year (and my own the year before) we've had much more stability and much less maintenance time is required on either. (remember we used to spend an hour a day each deleting spam )
Ive also wound down or eradicated some of the non-chip hobby related things I was selling (Hard Rock pins and souvenirs etc.) and the emphasis on chips Im selling has moved a little from quantity to quality.

The major work on the Chip Rack took place in our first publication. Ongoing maintenance is much simpler and more streamlined.

While I was discussing my potential standing as a candidate with others, I got an offer from someone suitably qualified to assist with the auction if I needed help there to reduce the workload.

I then talked to Doug to discuss the 'requirements' of the Secretary position before we made our decisions.

Another factor I didnt mention anywhere was that the day to day cohesion of the BoD is always going to be best served if everyone gets along with one another, and working alongside 3 (at least) incumbent 'friends' is always likely to be more efficient for everyone involved.
