I know you mean well, but I think you have misrepresented what happened with your idea.

If my memory serves correctly, your idea was brought up at the Club business meeting and you were then asked to present a specific plan on what you thought this Junior membership should be.

To my knowledge, you never submitted that information.

You were asked specific questions in the meeting, what would be the benefits to a Junior membership, what would be the dues, what would the age range be?

Most of the opposition involved with the fact that an associate membership accomplished exactly what you were describing and we already offered associate memberships.

I realize that right now associate memberships are only available to members residing at the same residence and that was an issue for your grandson. To be quite honest, you may be the only member with that issue as the vast majority of our members with children as members, are their own children.

I can say we will discuss the topic again as to associate memberships as I personally am beginning to question if we need to limit associate memberships to just people lifing in the same household.

As far as the Junior membership..... If you can make a formal proposal with some real ideas on how this would work, the BOD would be haappy to consider it.
