My philosphy has always been to rent in Vegas unless you are going straight from the airport to your hotel and plan on staying there or just walking to nearby locations..If you have to take 4-5-6 taxi rides that are of decent distance you will be better with the car...Just valet it at your hotel and tip the fellas a few bucks when you pick it up each time....I usually do thrify rental car and do their "wild card" car...Its a decent rate and you get a decent car...I got a Ford Escape this last time for the same price as a small compact..I think about all the rental companies are now at an off site location but they shuttle you over there and it doesnt take too long...Good luck...Caleb
