Here's a few more....
This chip, die, and matchbook were from the original Las Vegas Club...across the street from where it is now.
As far as I know, no one knows why (all?) the chips from this issue are marked with an "F".
These are from the Las Vegas Club at its current location...
Hard to see in the scan, on the saddle the matchbook mentions J. K. Houssels as the proprietor (sp???)
And a unique view of the sign...
Now, I know I don't have this story exactly right , but to the best of my recollection it went something like this:
Mrs. Casino executive, speaking to her husband "Honey, I'd love to have my picture on a postcard...can you arrange it?"
Hubby sez: "Of course, my dear, I can do that for you."
The result was the postcard below. HOWEVER...Mr. and Mrs. Executive were divorced before the card was distributed. Mr. Executive reportedly destroyed the cards.
When I read the story, there were 3 cards known in collectors' hands.
