Heres my latest time trip picture- I dont know just how well known the Ambassador East Motel was, but was formerly owned by Jackie Gaughan, and by its end occupied the entire city block from 9th to 10th Streets, and Fremont to Ogden. Demolished in 2007, The neon marquee still stands guard in front of yet another classic Fremont St. motel that has faded into history. (BTW, I saw Jackie again today at the El Cortez- At the poker table and looking very good for his 90 years.....)
