I was told in an email by a person who visted Jacob Lauff, also he is the expert on NOLA chips,that these were used in a traveling casino game. Jacob Lauff would visit companies on their lunch hours and run a potable casino game and use these chips. Obviously the $50 chips didn't get much action as I would think $50 was really big money at the time for the area.
