In honor of the day, I wanted to post a Bicentennial chip with the flag on it. Thus I give you the Sahara $5. Turns out I didn't even have this one scanned in my collection, so this is a good exercise to get me organized .

I wish I could have made the auction, if only to have one more chance to walk through the place. My brother and I took a couple of trips to Vegas in the early 2000s, and had lots of fun. Due to our (lack of) gambling budgets (and budget over all), our casino of choice was the Sahara. Nothing like a $29 room; $5.99 buffet for breakfast (with $1 off coupon in the Players' Club coupon book); $6.99 Prime Rib for dinner in the Casbah Lounge; and 'Blackjack for a Buck' . Rest In Peace Sahara .
