A Thank you and few questions from a lurker

I wanted to say thank you to this board. I've lurked on here for about a year now and have learned quite a bit. I also really like the slab-free stance you guys have fought for. The greed in slabbing takes away from too many hobbies. I started collecting by taking home a few chips and tokens on my first trip in 2006 and has grown from following trips, and a few eBay finds. Older show guides(pre 2000s) have been catching my eye too.

I'm heading out to Vegas this weekend and looking to add to my small but growing collection. I have a few questions, maybe one of you may have time to answer.

Which strip/downtown area casinos have fractional chips currently? Are they normally willing to sell them from the cage? I know the Golden Gate wasn't going to sell me even a $1 chip because of the cost the 1st time I tried. I'd image a 25 or 50cent must cost more than face to make.

I've found most MGM/Mirage and Harrah's casinos still have tokens in the cage. No luck at places like Casino Royale and the Venetian.
At the same time I tried to get one from the Flamingo once and had to come back later because they couldn't access the cage. When I came back a 2nd lady said they don't have tokens anymore. I had to talk to another cashier to get it from the cage. I guess it makes me question being told no from some other places. Any advice on collecting tokens now days at the casinos? Should I expect anything better then well circulated tokens?

Which casinos tend to have more (older) chips in the cage? I talked to cashier at the MGM Grand last November and was able to get a Grand Opening chip from 1993, along with some other 90s boxing chips! Any tips on getting the good stuff from the cashiers?

Thanks again for all the great info I've already gotten from this board,
Mike
