First off I apologize if this is not a good forum to post this as I notice the majority of the posts seem to be selling chips. I recently came upon a large amount of older chips which I assume are from primarily Las Vegas hotels and clubs. My family and I discovered them in my grandfathers old desk cabinet while moving furniture out of my grandmothers old house. I'm not positive on the age of the chips but my mother knows that they first visited the Vegas area shortly after the Hoover damn was finished and began visiting and gambling there on a much more frequent basis after my grandfather returned from the war in 1944. They moved to the east coast in the late 50's. That's all I can really piece together in terms of dates.
I've only looked at a few of the chips closely and I see nothing special about them especially compared to the chips I see at the casinos today. I was actually excited about using them for a poker night with my buddies but my fiancee put a halt to that idea and ordered me to find more information on them first so here I am.
Again, if I am in the wrong place I apologize but any help about where I may find a price guide (google has actually come back with the the chip rack?) or possible a dealer or expert that may be able to tell me a bit more about these chips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Tyler
