Hi all,
So the story goes something like this......Exactly 4 years to the day (May 20th 2006 in South Australia, Australia) I willingly purchased my first casino chip that I wanted to keep. By pure chance I had found a collectable that seemed to just click. Why? No idea! But I'm still at it four years later and have no desire to stop anytime soon.
After a while, when the Australian chips and casino memorabilia items in my collection started to pile up, I dreamt of having a website so I could showcase my chips for others to enjoy as much as I did. Now, today, I can happily say.....
AUSTRALIAN CHIP GUIDE
www.australianchipguide.com
I really wanted to contribute a site to the hobby that specialized in not only Australian & New Zealand casino chips but also the memorabilia and collectibles from my part of the world as well. In addition, I wanted to create a Guide Numbering system that was simple and that mirrored two of the best collectors sites on the net, the Chip Guide & the Caribbean Chip Guide. In my opinion these are the simplest and most widely used way of identifying chips (excluding of course TCR numbers). So thus, the ACG number was born.
This site, like all others, will be an ongoing labour of love. I still have more items to add, more information to load and more features to come in the future. In addition to the ACG section of the site, I will also be adding the rest of my collection as well. I would hope to have that section completed before I die!!
But for now the site is for all to use and hopefully you can take advantage of the new ACG guide number system for your data basing and tagging chips in your collection.
LOOKING FOR CONTRIBUTORS
If you have a chip, jeton, plaque, token or memorabilia item from any Australian or New Zealand casino that you cannot see on the Australian Chip Guide then PLEASE, take a scan or photo & email me at tim@australianchipguide.com
Your contribution will be added to the ACG and you're name will be added to the donated scan. A very big thanks already to those collectors that have already contributed to the site.

Also a massive thank you must go out to David Murrin. David is not a collector. (and after having to make this site for me, sadly never will be!) David is a friend of mine in South Australia who unwittingly agreed to be the designer & programmer of the ACG. He took my scrappy & ever changing brief & turned it into the site is has become today. As building this site was WAAAAY out of my computer experience comfort zone, I can’t thank him enough for making it all happen.
MORE TO COME!
Some additional features that are still under construction.....
So please, make yourself a coffee or grab a beer, pull up your comfy chair and take a few minutes to have a browse.
I really hope you enjoy the site.
Cheers,
Tim Harry
