Jim - I'm sort of new to chip collecting and not totally familiar with the slab free organizers definitions. If a grade on the holder is a requirement for the holder to be defined as a "slab", then you are correct. However, in other hobbies, if the item is in a holder from a certification service with or without a grade (ICG being one of them), its said to be "in a slab".

Steve, a major tenant of anti-slabbing for chips..
It is a slab..because you have to pay NGC or PCGS
Also, I've been told if you cant remove the item
