The 1st annual Springfield/Burke (Virginia) Relay for Life fundraiser was held 7pm May 14- 7am May 15 at a local high school track. These multi-hour events are held across the country to raise money for the American Cancer Society. I included Greg in the individuals I was running for, and I reached out to you all for donations. I decided I would do the event as a team of one.

The event's goal was $50,000, but terrific community support pushed the results above $150,000, with more than 1000 participants

A powerful storm delayed the start, so the 12 hour event became an 8 hour one.

My personal totals were 38 miles and $655 raised for cancer. Special thanks to those chippers supporting me:
