I did research it some and saw the olive garden come up as the current owner. I searched a Detroit paper, Grosse Pointe News, but they don't have much pre 1940 on line (searched for a couple hours last night). I did find in the 40's the address was used for meetings, get togethers etc. I am sure it was an illegal club in the 30's. Was hoping it was run by the Purple Gang, I figured they owned the city pre 1935 anyways. Just would be nice to have a name to go with the address. I did think they were good looking chips, they caught my eye.

I would imagine looking at the property book at city hall might reveal something about that address. Too bad these records are not on line, it would be great.
