Chipmite infestation (serious)

(Subs, actually) While out in the field past weekend, several boxes of the "RRF" chips were being offered at an auction house down south, but these were in as poor condition; if not worse, than the find some 20 years ago. The tunneling material not only ran under and along the side of the boxes, but actually well up into the hotstamp; chip after chip -- row after row... which could have been carried/pushed up by water... as the woman said they were in a low-elevation carport storage area.

Whatever the "RRF" operation was, it must have been big; the woman remembers at least 15 boxes... and that's not even counting the boxes I found years ago.

Another buyer took them to build a poker chip set.

They were the red chips, only.

Also being offered were the white w/ red $1 Hollywood Club chips in what looked to be "NEW" condition; except they were in the same dried-out-snap-in-two condition as the boxes I offered in the past; good for display, only, and nothing more. Funny, so new-looking with razor-sharp edges, too... but useless! grin
