After 2 weeks the Trey-Ball mold came in with the initials CNC in yellow 25¢ and in red $1.00. Why the YUK-they were covered in MOLD. Yes I was still excitied about getting any chips in the mail, I am a kid at heart. But never have received any chips covered in a yukky mold before. I got out the pink stuff (Sterling's Magic), my soft head toothbrush, and went to work trying not to get scrub the HS, but I had to put the pink stuff on the HS as everything was moldy. I did 5 chips and have 4 of them in the scan. I am a rookie at this and read the articles on cleaning many times over. I don't think I did a bad job but probably not great either. I did think they cleaned up nicely but reading never clean an extremely dirty chip I was wondering. No way can you leave mold on a chip.

I will bring some as traders to the ccgtcc convention, but should I bring them in their au natural state of mold, or should I clean the ones I bring? I am told most members like to clean their own chips. Also going to work on trying to get this excellent example of a Trey-Ball identified. As you can tell it sure looks like it is from an illegal joint. These as you know were made by Joe Treybal Sporting Goods Co., St. Louis, MO. from 1929 to 1939 which also made gambling equipment and chips for illegal casinos. I believe this to be a fine example of his mold!!
