I can't agree with that statement.

One thing that originally brought me INTO chip collecting, besides playing poker, and being a long time fan of Las Vegas memorabilia, was that one can start in the hobby very inexpensively..say collect a $1 chip from every casino/card room.

One thing I have "lurnt" from many helpful members here is "don't collect everything". Specilaize in what you really like and can afford.

I have found that difficult to adhere to, at times, but I am much better about that now, and as a result, I am enjoying the hobby even more..MOO..
