re the post yesterday of a matchbook cover from the ABC Cardroom in Emeryville Ca; as on the matchbook cover, it was at 4118 San Pablo Ave. i'll try to get over and see what's at that address now...Opened 1946 by Charles Martin, went to H. Holman in 1948; In 1951 went to well known Emeryville cardroom owner Arthur Pedemonte and closed in 1956. I relayed this info to Richard Staeffler. I am pretty sure it was ABC and not A.B.C. cardroom I don't think chips from this cardroom have ever surfaced.
