At one time the "Coast Casinos" under Michael Gaughan (Barbary Coast, Gold Coast, The Orleans, Suncoast and SouthCoast) had a Friday, Pat-Check Cashing Promotion. If you cashed your pay-check at the cage, they gave you one of the anodized aluminum tkens, which played in a special slot machine. The top prize was $250,000 and the bottom prize was a TITO coupon good for a free drink/$1 match-play. Guess what got printed 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time?

The Coast Casinos (now owned by Boyd Gaming) (Gold Coast, The Orleans, Suncoast and Sam's Town, sans the Barbary Coast and SouthPoint) now offer the same check cashing promotion, but the tokens are gone, as are the slot machines and play is done from your slot club card account and the computer kiosks that interface to that Program.

The SouthPoint (formerly SouthCoast) and also under the ownership of Michael Gaughan and perhaps most importantly, the Convention site, continues to offer the Program with the "SouthCoast" tokens.
