first question would be, would the cage honor the face value of the pieces? If not, then the chips/tokens may be marked with a dollar value but then so are many tournament chips yet they aren't "worth" that much.

after that, if each chip/token weighs 1.9 ounces then the set weighs 9.5 ounces. at today's price for gold (which should be higher since the market price is for pure gold and not for 18 karat gold) which is 1,140.83, then the set has a pure monetary value of $10,837.89.

So, the second question would be, would this set demand a premium of at least $18,162 ($28,500 plus $500 shipping = $29,000 - $10,837) as a collector's item?

beats me but just asking..............
