....... not Cicero. In my research on the casinos in Southern Illinois I was told by a former employee who worked in a couple of clubs in McClure/ East Cape Giradeau area that there was a Turf Club in Cairo and also an El Patio Club on Route 3 outside of Cairo. The Turf Club was owned by Abe Ranson and the El Patio Club was run by a guy named Sullivan. Both clubs operated in the 1940s.

If you got the dice in Southern Illinois, they might have come from these two clubs and not from the Cicero/Chicago area.
