It is a pretty chip, and my favorite, I "stole" the chip and the scan
If i remember who's scan it was I would thank them!
it was mid 1990s and i was a newbie collector
when I went to a antique show at the mall.
i seen a dealer who had antique tobacco tins and I wanted to
see how much they were selling for. Some rusty ones went for $100
I asked him why so much,he was rude and said they are very rare.
In one of his display cases he had the HQ but, I never heard of it so
i offered him $5 for it.He says no way i need $6 and was very rude, again
I walked away and told the wife of my rude encounter, and figured i'd move on
My lovley bride says you should go back and buy it, so i offered him $4
he said "you were going to give me $5" and was rude again,I left without saying a word
before leaving the show he was packing things up and my wife says you better go by the chip so i dont hear about anymore. So I offered him $3 and he says
" you were going to give me $4"
"but nobody bought it and you brought it here to sell"
I was prepared for a rude display again, but, he sold it for $3
i took it home and seen it was really rare and worth $300
Now, ten plus years later, we added another zero to the value.
I love the Riverboat on it.*g*
