A minor correction on the dates - I got out of the service in June 1962 and Harrah's still owned (or at least operated) the place next to Harvey's - the quonset hut was long gone - as was Dopey Norman's - but Harrah's still kept the place on the Lake side of the highway open in the summer. He had already opened his new place across the street - where the old Country Club was located - and ran it year around. The place next to Harvey's just had a couple of tables and mostly slots. It was a two level place where you came into the lower level from the back parking lot and went up a set of stairs to the upper level which was on on level with Highway 50. I liked the place - lots of nickel slots.
