as the club's membership officer, I get e-mails & renewal responses from current members that are not renewing for the very same reason. Our membership is shrinking at an alarming rate -- I blame most of it on the economy as people don't have extra money to spend on their collection, but some of the older members that won't renew point to the garbage that goes on here. For many, this bulletin board is their brief escape from what goes on in the world around them...I am one of those.

For me, a lot of the enjoyment in this hobby comes from being able to keep in touch with my friends via this BB. And it makes me a little sad to notice that many of these friends don't post as much (or at all) because of they just don't care to muddle through these political squabbles.

John...I hope you renew & stay active with the ...I enjoyed your posts & enjoyed doing battle with you at the poker tables!!
