Quite possibly the chips were made as samples, or co-opted into samples after one side was stamped for Club Cabazon and for reasons we don't know the order was never completed. Rather than toss the chips, a manufacturer logo was added to one side and they then become salesmen samples.
While Dennis of TRKing may know the answer, it seems we do not.
Anyway, when I showed these yesterday I was contacted by a collector who wanted to buy one of them and I sold it. The other one is now also offered on a Best Offer over $24.99 basis.
This means that I will accept a single Best Offer offer over $24.99 from anyone, between now and this Thursday night at 8:00 pm PST. Offers will be acknowledged back, but I will not disclose your placement until the close of this offer. Please keep in mind, if you wish to make an offer you can do so at anytime this offer is open. You may place more than one offer, but I will NOT tell you what standing your offer has in comparison to other offers. If you should have second thoughts and submit additional offers, you will be bound by your highest offer that I acknowledge back to you.
I will prefer a PayPal payment, but will accept a snail mail form of payment instead.
Offers must be sent via email. Please do not post an offer here.
Lastly, I need the buyer of the chip from yesterday to contact me (via email) and tell me which chip in the scan they wanted, the one on the left or the right. Once that is resolved, this Best Offer offer will be for the remaining chip, which I will then scan and post both sides. However, until then, please note that both chips are in like-identical condition.
(T.R. King was located in Los Angeles, CA. - Club Cabazon (a California Card Room, 1957 - 1960) was located in Cabazon, CA.)
Please feel free to ask questions before placing a binding offer.
Thank you for looking!
