Sands Macao, Singapore and PA are all owned by Sands LV. Sands Regency Reno different owners. When the Bass Bros purchased Sands in AC. PR and Las Vegas they owned the Sands name for those 3 properties. They ran into trouble very quickly and sold out to the Pratt Bros who closed the PR property and let Vegas go back to original owners. Sands AC paid 2M a year if I remember correctly to Vegas for the use of the name. Pratt Bros then tired to change Sands AC name to get out of paying the 2M to Hollywood. They did this when they expanded to Missiouri and Illinios as Vegas wanted 2M each for those properties for the Sands name. Before the Pratt Bros tried to finish the deal on name change they went BK on all properties. When Icahn took over the Sands he also paid the 2M per year until Pinnacle. took over.

Like the Sands Regency Reno most other properties using the Sands name, another word like Regency is added as they can not just use the Sands with paying for the use of the name.
