Back in the 1980's when I lived on Long Island, I remember St. Martha's parish in Uniondale had casino nights just about every month. When I checked it out, I was surprised that they had their own chips on the tables. At that time, I wasn't smart enough to take a few for my collection. I've often wondered if they still ran the casino nights.

I found this in an article in the Knights of Columbus newsletter from April 2009:

"Last year, St. Martha’s traded away all the Las Vegas and casino equipment that we’ve had stored here for many years since the parish cancelled those hard gambling practices. There’s less temptation to go back to that kind of fund-raising activity not having the equipment."

I wonder where the chips went. Does anybody have them in their collection?
