Possible eBay/PayPal Glitch...

At the end of the eBay auction, when prompted to go to PayPal to make the auction payment, you're asked for your PayPal password. PayPal payment is made and you're automatically switched back to eBay. Since I like to have the email address of the seller, I return to PayPal to look at the transaction details.

What I did was to open a new tab (so as not to log out of eBay) and type in www.paypal.com. Guess what? I found was already/still logged in to PayPal. In other words, my account remained logged into after I left PayPal. This situation has happened several times in the past, so I decided to call PayPal about it.

The person I spoke to at PayPal told me that the link expires after a minute or so, but it was not true in my case. He then said he'd transfer me to Security, but it seemed that I was on endless hold and I disconnected the call.

It's entirely possible that mine is an isolated incident, but it doesn't hurt to check that you're logged out of PayPal once a payment is made.
