I think it's awesome that the idea was presented and approved...Greg did so much for the hobby that he definitely deserves to be honored. Thank you and congratulations, Mike and Andy, for getting this done.

But something I don't understand; if I remember right, the President's Award was not necessarily presented every year--right? And it was presented solely at the discretion of the President?

The Greg Susong Memorial Award is to be presented annually? By way of nominations and votes from club members?

So...if I'm reading the announcement right, one award is replacing the other. Why? Why not both...both are for outstanding achievement, but I don't see any other similarities? Am I reading it wrong? Help??
