In this case ...

... it is the slabber who is creating these slabs for his own benefit.

Unlike in the coin industry, where an individual is submitting coins to an independent 3rd party grading/slabbing company for an UN-BIASED grading opinion and slabbing... this particular company will be slabbing his/her own material as needed for replacement inventory (as you have pointed out); depending upon what was the last slabbed chip sold.

There are presently over 500 slab-free club members who have pledged not to do business with these chip slabbers... and THAT action is what has diminished the potential market for these items Jerry. Of course anyone is free do as they please. But by purchasing this material and breaking it out of the slab to ease one's conscience does nothing to thwart this deceitful practice.

I urge; "keep the slab-free boycott pressure on"!
