When President G.W. Bush took office I had high hopes given the positive press he was given about reaching across the isle to the Democrats in Texas. Given his electoral victory and not the popular vote victory I felt for certain he would realize the split within our nation. After we were attacked just 8 months into his first term I had even higher hopes that he would use this to bring America together. It didn't take long to crush those thoughts. I did not vote for Mr. Bush either time.

When President Obama took office I had high hopes that he would in fact be an agent of change. I thought he would help to end the senseless bickering in Washington DC. His victory was large in the electoral votes but not very large in the popular vote. He made promises about open government, is young, bright and charasmatic. I thought he would work to bring America together. It hasn't take long to crush those thoughts. I did not vote for Mr. Obama and won't next time.

It's too bad I don't get to vote for all 435 House members and all 100 Senators because I wouldn't vote for about 90% of them either.
Their collective treatment of our country is pathetic & self-serving (or worse political party serving).

I truly love my country, it's our politics/politicians that make me angry.
